ThinKener Consultores has been very active in developing competencies and management skills in information systems and new technologies in important electrical companies. Since the 80’s team members have been engaged in the development of systems to support electric companies core processes.
Members of our team participated in SCADA / EMS / DMS network supervision and control systems projects for CHILECTRA, ENDESA, TRANSELEC and CDEC-SIC, including conceptual engineering, issuing technical specifications, evaluation of bids, implementation and testing. The foregoing also covers technical aspects of Substation Control Systems, Remote Terminal Units (UTRs), telecommunications systems and protocols.
Smart Grids are basically electricity distribution networks combined with modern information technologies, which provide data to distribution companies and their consumers. In the last years members of the ThinKener Consultores team have led the implementation of automation projects in medium voltage distribution networks in several companies in South America as part of the initial phase of the conformation of the Smart Grids.
Likewise, members of the ThinKener Consultores team have developed plans for implementing metering systems in distribution companies so provide intelligence to traditional electricity networks, adding smart meters that allow companies and end users to know real time consumption and optimise network operations.
